My story with Ganesh began on a Sunday afternoon a couple of years ago . My husband and I were walking through some yet undiscovered small streets of our city. They were filled with charming sweet shops, specialized gourmet chocolate cafes, book stores and unique souvenir stands. Suddenly, before my eyes stood a Tibetan silver shop, its exotic intriguing look caught my attention. It was like stepping into a Nepali cave. Then, after a quick scan I saw HIM. He was among others but it was clear to me that he was the one. He was My Ganesh:
I can´t exactly remember how long after that I started wearing him, all I know is that soon after nice things started happening to me. In fact, I credit him with blessing me with the most wonderful present I have ever been given: My baby boy.
Since then, whenever something important was taking place in my life he would make his presence felt. I have witnessed first hand that for which he is most famous: Removing the obstacles from one´s path.
He is also known as the most auspicious. He brings the best of luck to any endeavor and is to be worshipped at the start of any other worship, his mantra chanted before any other mantra is sang and his symbol must accompany any celebration if auspiciousness is desired.
Ever since I gained awareness of his loving presence in my life I have seen him come to me in so many wonderful ways. Just recently a friend of mine came back form India and brought me a lovely silver pendant for my son. As soon as he allows me to hang anything around his neck I shall be so happy.
It´s belly is a pearl. Isn´t it adorable?
I on the other hand have vowed to wear my first Ganesh for the rest of my life. For someone who can´t even wear her wedding band everyday because she finds it too monotonous this is truly a big deal!
Jay Shri Ganesh!!!
With deepest gratitude;
With deepest gratitude;
Meish
